Pillars of Peace
Edmonton Culture of Peace community art
project: Pillars of Peace was inaugurated at the 2000
Edmonton Heritage Festival. Amy Loewan was the artist consultant
to initiate this idea. The public was invited to draw/paint their
visions of peace onto large sonal tubes (paper columns for pouring
concrete structures). This project was subsequently conducted in
schools, community centres and many public events. |
